Are there nearby libraries that I can use? Yes, there are! As a resident of Hillsborough County you are eligible for a Hillsborough County library card and the privileges it entails. By the way, students living on campus are considered Hillsborough County residents.
The closest library to campus is the John F. Germany Central Library located in downtown Tampa (just a short 10 minute walk across the Hillsborough River, next to the Straz Center).
To get your public library card make sure you take a photo ID with your address, some thing that reflects your address on campus (like your residence hall contract) or a utilities bill if you live off campus, and your Spartan Card. More information about the Hillsborough County Library System can be found at the following link: http://www.hcplc.org/
Sometimes when the University of Tampa Library doesn’t have an item you need, the public library will, so be sure to use your public library!
