The UT Student Government asked if we could be open later, so we’re trying a trial run from October 8 to October 21.
From a UT Student Gov webpage —
“Student Government met with Marlyn Pethe, the Director of MacDonald-Kelce Library, to discuss extending the current Library hours to better accommodate the student body. Starting October 8, 2012, the Library will begin a two-week test period with longer hours. Library staff will record the number of students present each hour, so it is important to take advantage of this trial period. Student Government will provide food and giveaways in the Library during this time to encourage attendance. After the last day on October 21, Student Government will meet again with Library staff to discuss the results and negotiate permanent hours. The MacDonald Kelce Library is an important academic asset to our campus and SG is excited to make it more available to our student body.”
Keep in mind we will also extend hours when we get close to finals.
