Toward the beginning of the semester, before research on assignments really kicks into gear, we often get questions about more prosaic matters. Last week’s number one question was about passwords and logging into Esearch. This week’s number one topic was about printing. People wanted to know how to add money to their printing account and how to dispute a charge. Every student is credited $30 to their account at the beginning of the semester. For most students this is sufficient, but if your account runs low visit the following links to add more funds.
You can add funds and dispute charges through SpartanWeb, as well as find out how much is in your account.
Under the Campus Life tab choose the link for Information Technology, then the link for Lab Printing. On this page you can add more money to your account, find out your print balance, or dispute a charge. There’s also a list of where to find color printers on campus (there’s also a color printer in the library).
“Need to print in color? Color printers are available in the Vaughn Computer Lab, John Sykes 143 Computer Lab, and the Jaeb Computer Center. To print in color please be sure to choose the color printer in the printer drop down box. Make sure that you only print what you want in color and not all pages in your document or you will be charged the color price. One color print will deduct $0.50 from your print balance.”
